There are two ways you help Canada establish a strong Christian publishing industry. I’ll blog about the other way next week.
1. You can donate money for a bursary.
Many writers and aspiring writers lack the financial resources to attend Write! Canada or take out a membership in The Word Guild. Please consider contributing to The Word Guild’s bursary program. You will receive a charitable tax receipt and you will make a valuable contribution to someone’s writing goals and dreams. Notes: You will receive a charitable tax receipt in early 2010 from Christian Info Canada.
Please note that donations earmarked for specific people cannot be receipted by law. All contributions made to the bursary fund will be dispersed based on need, potential as a writer, pastoral affirmation, and funds available.
We can issue tax-deductible receipts for donations given to "The Word Guild," "Write! Canada," or "Christian Info Canada." We can only issue tax receipts for donations, not for membership dues or conference fees. Those items may, however, be claimed as business expenses.
