Write! Canada is held at the Guelph Bible Conference Centre in Guelph, Ontario. The centre is within driving distance from the Toronto airport and the rest of southern Ontario, as well as from Buffalo and Detroit.

Driving Directions
From the south (Highway 401), take Highway 6 North (Hanlon Parkway) to the Wellington Street exit. Take the Wellington Street ramp, but proceed straight through the intersection past Wellington Street West. At the "T" intersection, turn right to proceed on Waterloo Avenue, then make a quick left turn onto Woodycrest Drive. The driveway entrance to the Guelph Bible Conference Centre is immediately on your left.
From the north, take Highway 6 South / 7 East (Hanlon Parkway) to Wellington Street. Take the Wellington Street exit east, and turn left at the first lights (to Waterloo Street). Turn right at Waterloo avenue, then make a quick left turn onto Woodycrest Drive. The driveway entrance to the Guelph Bible Conference Centre is immediately on your left. View Larger Map
Phone and Internet Access
If you need to leave a phone number with your family in case of emergency while you are at the conference, the Guelph Bible Conference Centre number is 519-824-2571. Please note that the conference is held at a retreat centre; there are two public telephones in the lounge, but no telephones or televisions in the rooms. If you require access to a telephone, we recommend that you bring a cell phone (but please switch it off during all sessions).
The Conference Centre lounge is equipped with free high-speed wireless Internet, if you wish to bring your notebook computer or smartphone. Many of the hotels now offer wireless Internet, if you are staying off-site. Guelph has several WI-FI spots offering high-speed wireless Internet access:
* The Guelph Public Library, Main Branch, 100 Norfolk Street (downtown)
* Starbucks Coffee in Chapters Bookstore, Stone Road Mall
Coffee, Restaurants and Shopping
Tim Horton regulars will be glad to know you can get your "double double" near the conference centre at 715 Wellington Street, behind a Pioneer Gas Bar and a 24-Hour Snack Express at the corner of Imperial Road and Wellington. From the conference grounds driveway, turn right onto Waterloo Avenue; go to the stoplight at Wellington Street. Turn right onto Wellington and drive across the bridge a couple of minutes west. The walk is about 20 minutes.
Restaurants and Shopping
You have two choices of areas, each about a 5-minute drive from the conference grounds.
South: The Stone Road area has many restaurants (including a Swiss Chalet) and fast food outlets, as well as a large shopping centre, the Stone Road Mall, with a Chapters bookstore, Starbucks and food court. Drive south on the Hanlon Parkway and turn left at the Stone Road stoplight. You can also turn left from the conference grounds driveway, go along Waterloo Avenue, turn right onto Edinburgh Road, and proceed south to Stone Road.
North: To get to the other shopping area, drive out onto Wellington Street and turn right to exit north onto the Hanlon Parkway. Drive past Paisley Road, turn right onto Willow Road, then immediately left onto Silvercreek Parkway. You will find a No Frills, Shoppers Drug Mart, 24 Hour Coffee Time and other fast food outlets.
