Transportation
Airport Shuttle Service
Red Car Service provides transportation from Toronto International Airport (Pearson), Hamilton International Airport (Munroe) or Region of Waterloo Airport to and from Guelph. The Word Guild has arranged with Red Car for Write! Canada attendees to receive a conference discount rate. Red Car has staffed check-in booths at each terminal at Toronto airport and provides 24-hour service.
Go to the website www.redcarservice.com. Click on the icon: Reservations for Conference Delegates. When you are prompted, enter the password: write10.
You can then book one-way or round-trip transfers at special conference rates. Prices include GST. (For the local destination and pick-up address, enter 485 Waterloo Avenue, Guelph, N1H 3K4.) Be careful to enter the correct time.
Print a copy of your reservation for your records. Red Car Service will send you a confirmation of your booking within two business days.
This service must be prepaid by credit card. Changes to flight details or late flight arrangements are not subject to extra charges or penalties. Cancellations must be done 24 hours in advance to get a refund.
To contact Red Car Service directly, call them at 519-824-9344. If you would like to request a shared ride with another conference attendee to get a lower rate for your arrival, book through the telephone agent to make this request. Depending on the time of flights, it may not be possible. It should be possible to arrange a shared ride for your departure, because a number of conference attendees leave via Red Car around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. after the conference ends.
