What to Bring

What NOT to bring

Allergy Alert! A number of participants are extremely allergic to perfumes, aftershave, hairspray and other strong odours. So please do not use scented products during this event.

Please note that smoking is not allowed anywhere on the conference grounds, nor are alcoholic beverages.

Some people are deathly allergic to nuts. At the same time, we recognize that some vegetarians or people with other dietary restrictions rely on tree nuts and peanuts as a supplemental source of protein. Please refrain from bringing any foods with tree nuts or peanuts into the public areas. If you are staying in on-site accommodation, ensure that your roommates do not have allergies before unpackaging or eating any tree nut or peanut products.

Thanks for your cooperation in making the conference grounds a safe environment for everyone.

Special Dietary Needs, Medicines

The conference kitchen prepares tasty, home-cooked meals but it is not equipped to deal with special food requirements. People with special diets will need to plan accordingly. Meals cannot be adjusted. For vegetarians, those with lactose and other  intolerances, or those following a low-fat diet, we have asked the kitchen to provide several plain, undressed salads on a side table, with oil and vinegar on the side for those who need the option of greens without salad dressing.

Vegetarians or those on special diets may want to bring some extra food to supplement the meals supplied. Most of the space in the refrigerator in the lounge is needed to chill bottled water for faculty members, but there is a small amount of storage space for necessary food or medicines. Be sure to clearly label everything with your name on each item.
