Registration Fees
Save up to $60
Get $20 off for each of the following conditions, as many as apply to you:
* If you register before April 30
* If you are a member of The Word Guild
* If you are a full-time high school or college/university student
If you are not yet a member of The Word Guild, you may apply for membership at the same time as you register for Write! Canada in order to obtain the member discount. Write a note to the conference registrar in the "anything we should know about you" box, informing her that you have mailed your membership application form and membership fee cheque.
Registration Fee
Our registration fee of $397 includes all sessions, all meals, and all coffee breaks. There is no extra charge to book one-on-one appointments with faculty members.
Accommodation is extra. To take full advantage of all the learning and networking opportunities the conference offers, we strongly recommend booking on-site accommodation. See the Accommodation section under Location for more information.
No partial registration is available without pre-approval by the registrar. Our continuing classes run for six sessions, spread over the three days, so you would miss a lot, or be confused, if you just came for part of them. In special circumstances, exceptions may be made to allow partial registration for conference alumni or members of The Word Guild, or experienced writers whose occupations make it impossible to get time off work.
Cancellations are possible until June 1, but $50 administration fee is non-refundable. No refunds for cancellations made after June 1. Fees are in Canadian dollars. You can pay with a U.S. (or any) credit card when registering online. If you don't want to pay online, please contact the registrar for the current exchange rate before sending your payment by cheque.
Group rate
The group rate is available to missions, churches, Christian publications and not-for-profit organizations who will pay the costs to send three or more staff members for professional development. It is not available to writers' groups, church groups or groups of friends. Contact the registrar for more information.
Sending someone else
Want to send a friend, family member, student or deserving writer you know? Contact The Word Guild to purchase gift certificates that can be applied toward Write! Canada registration fees, on-site accommodation, purchases at the Write! Canada bookstore, or membership in The Word Guild.
Bursaries
A limited number of bursaries is available for those who demonstrate financial need and a serious commitment to writing. See the Bursaries section for more information.
Registration Package
Your registration package will be sent to you by e-mail after your registration is processed, and will include all necessary information. If you still have questions about the conference after you have read through this Web site (including the FAQs Frequently Asked Questions) and the complete registration package, contact the Write! Canada Administrative Coordinator. She will refer the questions to the appropriate person.
