First impressions are crucial. Writers, authors and speakers who want to advance their careers need to present a professional and contemporary image during public appearances such as media interviews, book signings and speaking engagements.
Last year, Write! Canada offered image consultations for the first time, with Diane Callender, a professional image consultant who specializes in helping clients to meet new personal and professional opportunities with increased confidence. She does this by affirming individuals in their unique God-given image. Diane recently began using her skills in ministry, blessing single Christian women by encouraging them to celebrate who God has made them, inside and out.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response, we have asked Diane to return to take one-on-one appointments with Write! Canada 2010 registrants. During a private 50-minute appointment, Diane will provide you with objective feedback about what first impression you convey. These consultations will be helpful to both men and women.
Arrive at the appointment wearing an outfit that you would choose if you were asked to be a guest on the 100 Huntley Street television program. The discussion will cover a range of topics, such as body language; voice; suitable clothing styles for your body type; hair style; glasses; makeup; etc.
Diane is offering a special discounted conference rate of $60 per consultation, payable by cash at the beginning of the appointment. Diane will provide a receipt, which will allow you to deduct this as a business expense.
Appointments are limited, and will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. We will first book Friday, June 18; if demand is sufficient, we will add Saturday, June 19.
