Bringing Products on Consignment

Sell Books and Other Products on Consignment

Conference registrants wishing to sell books at the conference may bring books on consignment. Consignment is only available to people who are registered at the conference, who are faculty or who are members of The Word Guild. We ask that you do not buy or sell books privately during the conference. You provide a quantity of books at the start of the conference and at the end of the weekend we will pay you for books sold and you will take back the unsold books. The Word Guild will take a consignment fee of 20% (this is much less than the standard bookstore fee). You may also sell CDs, DVDs or writing-related gift items you have made yourself.

The Word Guild also has attractive promotional items for sale, including pens and water bottles, as well as many helpful books about writing and books by faculty members.

Note that this is a special set-up for the conference and is not the bookstore operated by the Guelph Bible Conference Centre. Please do not call the conference centre about book sales. The conference centre's gift shop will also have general Christian books available for purchase.

Consignment Guidelines

* Materials for consignment must be brought during registration. We recommend that you fill out the consignment form in advance. Otherwise, see Write! Canada bookstore staff and fill out the form on-site.

Please fill out this form and either email it to the treasurer or print it and bring it with you

 * If you are registered to take GST, you must bring your GST number to put on the form.

* Bring a business card with your contact information.

* Unless you're a speaker or you have an in-demand product, a realistic number to bring would be 6-8 copies.

* Price must be on labels on individual product items, not just on a sign.

* Any special promotions require a coupon to be left with the sales staff.

* We reserve the right to refuse materials we don't feel are appropriate for this audience.

* We take a 20% consignment fee.

*You will need to come to the bookstore between 12:15 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the closing day of the conference, to settle accounts with the treasurer and to pack up your consignment materials. All consignment materials must be removed from the gymnasium no later than 2:00 p.m.
